At KME we manufacture commercial diving accessories to specifications from
the divers out there "doing it".
Jim Knannlein, President and founder of KME Diving Suits, Inc. worked as a com-
mercial diver for over 20 years, using all types of gear from SCUBA to Hard Hat.
Jim got his start making some of the basic, but hard to find, accessory equipment,
such as harnesses, heavy knives and weight belts, working in the time between diving
jobs.
In 1984, KME was incorporated as KME Diving Suits, Inc. at that time our dry suit
line was purchased from a small company that had been building commercial dry suits
for KME to re-sell to other divers on diving jobs. As we became more well known,
customers asked us to fabricate high quality replacement parts, in sizes or with
special additional features, to replace factory "soft" parts. These special items, along
many new products developed to fit specific "nitches" in commercial diving equipment
needs, became the list you see below.
