KME Diving Suits has proven that the highest quality drysuits and other diving equipment can be made by Americans in the USA for discriminating divers of all types.  We are proud of this fact.

All KME diving equipment is produced in our factory in Auburn, Washington, USA.  While much of the diving equipment industry has moved its production overseas to take advantage of low labor costs and lesser or no environmental restrictions, we continue to make our products in the United States with American labor.  We at KME are proud to provide jobs to the U.S. workforce.

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to obtain all of the very best quality materials and components that are needed to manufacture our high quality diving equipment from sources in the United States as we have done in the past.   Some of our long time suppliers have now “gone offshore”.  However, KME remains committed to providing jobs for American workers and to supporting domestic manufacturers and suppliers when at all possible.  If you have any questions about the content of the particular product you are interested in, contact KME using this link button .

The Federal Trade Commission has attempted to determine what it means to say a product is “made in” the United States.  We believe most consumers think “Made in USA” means that real manufacturing jobs were provided to U.S. workers to make that product.  Diving equipment produced in KME’s factory are made by U.S. workers using primarily American materials, but some products may contain some imported materials.  Where the level of domestic value is at least 70%, we label the product “Made in USA”.  This determination is based in part on a survey of consumers conducted by the Federal Trade Commission.  The FTC’s analysis of the Made in USA issue can be found on the internet at FTC’s website  at  www.ftc.gov .
