truly tailored comfort, and maximum durability, with choices and options

to configure each drysuit to their exact needs.  The NEPTUNE EXP-100

drysuit is made to the owner's exact measurements and specifications, and

is individually truly tailored, not an "off-the-shelf" or "custom" (modified

from stock sizes) suit.  The EXP-100  is made in the USA with American

made G-231-N neoprene.

SPECIFICATION & DRAWINGS BELOW ARE FOR

ALL BASIC NEPTUNE SERIES DRYSUITS

      SPECIFICATIONS:

The "NEPTUNE" model EXP-100  Tailored Drysuit made by

KME Diving Suits, Inc. meets or exceeds the highest standards for

materials and craftsmanship for drysuits in the diving industry.

The EXP-100's  Tailored fit and Guaranteed dry seams insure the most

warm and comfortable cold water diving possible.

The EXP-100 Tailored drysuit is made of the best grade of neoprene diving
suit material in the world, RUBATEX G-321-N.  G-231-N conforms to
SPECIFICATION RE-41-E1 of ASTM Method D-1056-78.  This material has
been the high standard for neoprene foam diving suit material since the 1950s.

The water and gas tight (guaranteed to one atmosphere pressure differential)

shoulder entry zipper in the EXP-100 is a Heavy Duty "BDM" model 6-RS.

An Optional "Comfort" or  "Relief" zipper (standard size) is available.  It is

usually placed horizontally, just above the crotch.

The standard boot on the EXP-100 is the KME "Deck Boot".  The Deck Boot

is a neoprene sock with a heavy solid rubber sole, hand lasted in place. Optional

is the light-weight "Turbo" sole boot or an upgrade to the molded "K-Boot"

Neoprene sock feet are another Option.

The EXP-100 Knee Pads are drysuit material with a reinforced coating, and are

double sewn to the legs so that they may be replaced if necessary.

Knee pads with "Ballistic" nylon over the neoprene cover are Optional.

All KME Drysuits have the optional choice of "Trident" commercial rated

manual buoyancy control valves or "Si Tech"  adjustable "automatic" exhaust

valves at no difference in price.  The "Trident" D model valves have a one year

warranty and they are serviceable and repairable with replacement parts available

at KME Dealers or the factory.

An American style standard fittings, 31 inch long, Low Pressure Inflation Valve Air

Supply Hose, or L.P. Hose comes with the EXP-100.  Other drysuit inflation

systems, (Oral or Power/Oral inflators) are Optional.

All adhesives used in the manufacturing of the EXP-100 are the best available for

each bonding need.  Four different types of adhesives are used in assembling every

KME Drysuit.

Each EXP-100 Drysuit ordered has a matching hood, making each NEPTUNE

series drysuit a complete "ready to dive" suit.

Many Options are available for all KME Drysuits, such as Attached Hood, Butt,

Shoulder and Elbow Pads, Special Pockets; Knife Pockets, Comfort Zippers,

other Access Zippers, P Valves, and many more.

Each Drysuit in KME's NEPTUNE series is Tailored, using our exclusive measuring

system. (Stock sized NEPTUNE Drysuit models may be ordered, with a $ 25.00

discount per suit).  The diver has a choice of Snug (like a loose fitting wet suit),

Regular (oversized just enough to wear street clothes with light underwear and a

light sweater) or Loose (heavy "pile" underwear or bulky clothing).

KME begins each Tailored NEPTUNE Drysuit by making a pattern, using the

customer's measurements, on a sheet of heavy paper.  This is then cut out to use

as the suit pattern.  After marking the material then cutting the drysuit components

out, this pattern is filed away in case the customer needs another suit in the future.

KME uses a  power "rotary shear" type cutter to assure that all cuts are clean and

perpendicular to the sheet in order to make the best glue joints possible.  All glue

joints are triple glued with a neoprene cement that is expressly designed for gluing

drysuits.  Zippers are "sandwiched" between neoprene panels in order to make a

matching "butt" joint with the rest of the dry suit.  Usually all outside seams are

sewn, using a "blind stitch" sewing machine. This "blind stitch" machine, a special

sewing machine for diving suits, sews across the seams only penetrating the top

nylon layer.

Optional seam tape on the outside seams to make your drysuit petroleum proof and

resistant to most other chemicals you are likely to encounter in the water is avail abel

in place of sewing on the outside of KME Drysuits.)  Next, the seams on the inside

of the drysuit are sealed by KME's proprietary "TCV" Seam Sealing process.  The

last manufacturing step is installation of the valve system.  Finally, the drysuit is

inspected and prepared for shipment.

KME makes a full line of Drysuit Maintenance and Repair products available

through our dealers or from the factory, in order that field repairs can be made

by the diver.  KME has a complete Repair Department for any repairs,

alterations or installation of additional Options to KME and any other Drysuits.
