EXP - 600 - C

       COMMERCIAL CUSTOM

         TAILORED DRY SUIT

       WITH SUPER HEAVY WEAVE NYLON

The EXP-600-C Commercial Drysuit is one of two commercial diving

versions of the NEPTUNE Series Tailored Dry Suits (based on the

EXP-100, see home page for photo), made by KME Diving Suits, Inc.

The EXP-600-C Commercial Dry Suit is made with special Super

Heavy Weave nylon laminated on the outside of tuff RUBATEX™

G-231-N neoprene foam sheet, with standard 4 way stretch nylon

on the inside.  G-231-N conforms to Specification RE-41-E1 of

ASTM Method D-1056-78.  G-231-N neoprene is nitrogen gas

injected, closed cell foam that is much stronger, warmer and

more compression resistant than the more common chemically

expanded soft foam "neoprene" material. The "600" Super

Heavy Weave nylon covered G-231-N is available ONLY in

Black at this time.

NOTE:   THE OLD RUBATEX CORPORATION G-231-N

MANUFACTURING  PLANT  IN BEDFORD, VIRGINIA HAS

BEEN  PURCHASED BY A COMPANY THAT HAS BEEN IN

THE FOAM RUBBER BUSINESS FOR MANY YEARS.

PRODUCTION  OF G-231-N IS NOW IN PROGRESS.

THIS WILL ALLOW KME TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE

OUR CUSTOMERS WITH THE BEST GRADE  OF DRYSUIT

NEOPRENE IN THE WORLD AND IT WILL CONTINUE

TO BE MADE IN THE USA.

The back of shoulder entry zipper used in the EXP-600-C is a Heavy

Duty (size 6) gas and water tight zipper made only by BDM™ in England.

As an Option, KME will add a comfort or "relief" standard (size 8)

waterproof zipper placed horizontally just above the crotch.

The standard boot on the EXP-600-C is the K-Boot and an Option

upgrade is the Lug Boot.  The K-Boot is a molded rubber outer

boot with neoprene foam inside. The K-Boot is designed for swim

fin use. The Lug Boot is a heavy duty molded boot with "tractor"

tread on the bottom over neoprene foam, for the "walking" diver

(IDI Turtle™ and posibly some of the newer fins with larger foot

pockets will go over the boot in sizes up to # 11).

The Air Control Valves are TRIDENT™  D model (commercial grade) dry suit valves. The TRIDENT™ exhaust valve is manually operated and will not let water into the suit when the operating button is depressed. The exhaust valve is designed to dump more air than the inflation valve can let into the dry suit as a safety factor. The TRIDENT™ valves have a one year warranty and they are serviceable and repairable with replacement parts available.

All adhesives (four different) used in the EXP-600-C are the best

available for each use.  NO wetsuit grade glues are used. The nylon

thread used meets Federal Specification VT-295.

Knee pads on the EXP-600-C are liquid neoprene coated for chaffing resistance. The knee pads are tape bonded to 1/8" thick suits, (the SHW outer nylon may cause the sewing to go too deep below the fabric, causing leaks on 1/8" thick material). On 1/4" thick suits the knee pads are double sewn on, so as to facilitate replacement. Ballistic nylon sewn over the neoprene coating on the knee pads is an upgrade Option.
